FLARE is a new and accessible item of avalanche safety equipment specifically designed for kids under 16.

It's for all juniors who ski or board within the patrolled areas of resorts and is also used by ski schools to help develop avalanche awareness and mountain craft .

In the event of an avalanche time is critical, so to be found in time you need to actively signal your location to your rescuers on the international avalanche distress frequency of 457 kHz.

Why Flare?

Flare sends out a signal so that if you are caught in an avalanche, your position can be quickly located by anyone who carries a search activated device. Flare is suitable for all skiers and snowboarders aged under16 who stay within the patrolled areas of a ski resort or ski area.
